Read the story again. You missed the point entirely. Cain doesn't actually get into trouble until he responded to God's rejection of his offering with anger and eventually murder. God asks him, "Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen?" Then he says, "If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up?" And what does Cain do? He does not "do well," does he? Instead he insists that he has the right to define right and wrong, and not God. This is the original sin. It's just a repeat of what Adam and Eve did when they ate the fruit that was a "delight" and "desirable" to them. They didn't trust in God's truth and decided to make up their own according to their wishes. They sought to take God off the throne and put themselves there instead. We're all guilty of it, man. And we need Jesus to cure us of this disease!nickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14998354343364437796noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2155986947588635239.post-55031142421729305232012-09-02T11:28:10.303-05:002012-09-02T11:28:10.303-05:00Thanks for the feedback, Don!
